Why I Like Only A Closed Few Around

I am not shy neither am I introvert in fact I mingle with people in no time. When I go out to a new place or party I gel around pretty easy and then i just leave it to that. A nice time spent in that moment. Its not that I don't like people, its just that I don't want unnecessary drama in my life. I believe in the great philosophy that even if you have few closed people you can count on your fingers you are lucky and blessed. After all according to another great one you are sum of characteristics of closed people in your life. So I chose wisely rather I connect with people not that easily.
I believe in every one comes in your life for a reason and for a time so enjoy that and learn from them. Let them go without holding grudges or stretching things till they get bad. Sometimes you grow up or you just become a different person and status quo of the relationship changes - then instead of holding on, learn to live with good memories. After all decluttering is required in every aspect of your life. Don't get me wrong I don't judge, I just live life and its a short one, I want to be happy and so why complicate it with people who don't add to the beauty of it. Keep it simple na .. hence a closed few of my circle keep me sane .

Be Your Sunshine

Sometimes I find myself too crazed out. I get psyched at almost every small thing (don't even talk about the big ones ). Sometimes I feel I give too much and expect the same in return from people and then I feel that's not asking for lot, is it ?
In reality nobody asks me to give and even if they do it's my choice, so why expect anything at all in return ? It's not that I do stuff for them keeping in mind something in return. I don't honestly. In the end it does hurt though and makes things complicated, creates misunderstanding and not a very healthy relationship (So not good ).
I have a simple policy where material things are concerned I don't like to take anything from anyone neither give. I sometimes wonder should it be same in the aspect of feelings and the amount of efforts you invest in people. Cause I have realized one thing in so many years you never get the equal of what you give and it's pointless expecting.
But then again if I become like others what's the difference. However, life will certainly be that much easier and simpler. No expectations and expectations certainly and predominantly are the root cause of complications. So in order to uncomplicate things and be happier and not brood or sulk with people for not putting in the same efforts, I have decided to invest double the efforts in myself and be happier rather than wait for others to make me happy.
Be the cause for your happiness. Be your own sunshine and the world will certainly glitter like Gold.
I am going to give this a try. It's going to be a lot of effort but I am certainly trying this.
What do you guys think ?
The outfit is from one of the days I felt all girly (tomboy that i am - give me some comfy shorts at any point and i will be a happy bunny )and decided to dress for spring.

Lessons learnt in 2016

This post was pending since sometime now...
The year just went by in a wink and we have already welcomed 2017 with arms wide open and aplomb but not without a big Thank You to 2016.
As

NOTHING EVER GOES AWAY UNTIL IT HAS TAUGHT US WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW - Prema Chodron

2016 gave me many a things - highs, lows, beautiful moments as well as heartfelt lows. Above all it taught me life lessons in a short go.....
Just felt like sharing them with you guys...
So here they are -

  • Slay and hustle like no ones business
Nothing and I mean nothing in life comes for free, whatever you want you need to work your ass to achieve it. There are no shortcuts but only work that takes you ahead. So hustle and slay till have it, whatever it takes.

  • Whatever happens is destined look back join the dots
Don't be sad if things don't work out as per you, everything happens for a reason and no matter how cheesy it sounds - Look back on your life and you will realise whatever happens - there is a reason. Join the dots and you will get the bigger picture.

  • When one Door closes it gives you the clarity that you are supposed to chose the other.
Be positive and weigh the pros in any situation. If something doesn't work out or goes your way, you get the clarity to do things in a better light.

  • When people start doing what you do consider you are on the right track.
This I did understand but took some time to sink in. Don't get annoyed if people actually ditto copy you but take pride in yourself that you are someone's role model and helping them out without them knowing it. You are bringing in a change for the good someone's life. If you are doing something right people will copy you. Have faith in yourself and keep working hard cause now you know you are good and you need to better yourself.

  • Live in the moment for the past and future are distant, present is your present to yourself enjoy it.
Live now, nothing is permanent. Grasp the moment cause you never know.

  • Health is important...
you can enjoy life to the fullest If you are healthy.. take care of yourself on every level. Physical, holistically, aesthetically..

  • Take pride in yourself

Always look back and think you are much ahead than where you were. Appreciate yourself.

  • Attitude of Gratitude (most important)
Be Humble, be grateful for your life and whatever you have.

I Am a boho at heart... free wanderer .. I keep giving adjectives to myself... but why tag

This was all from me..
So welcoming this 2017 But keeping 2016 in lessons learnt...

Until we meet again..

Black on Black

Black was, is and will always remain a fashion classic. A must in every wardrobe.
The fashion keeps changing but black rules the roost, dawn a simple black classic outfit and you sure are guaranteed of turning heads and appreciation heading your way.
Instant way to clean up your act and look all classy and elegant.

Today I am doing a black on black outfit which is a rage. Depends how you can pull of this basic but classy and bold look.
I threw in a red jacket and kept the look completely minimal.
For a fine wine and dine and an after party.

Simple tips to jazz your black on black look-
Mix textures.
Keep it simple.
Don any one statement piece.
Throw in a jacket, scarf, bag, footwear, hat, leggings etc in another colour to add that instant pop.
Bright lip shades.
Play with prints.

As you can see I have used most of the tips mentioned above in creating my look. The top is chiffon with metal detailings ( it's almost 8 years old and still in mint condition - amazing quality and it's my favorite black top ), the jacket has a different texture and I wanted a pop of red - something solid yet simple. Such a comfortable outfit especially for those cold nights when you want to look all chic yet keep yourself warm and cozy.
Did you like it ?
Be experimental and enjoy your own style.

Date your Spouse.

Today more and more relationships are breaking or are unhappy. Many people are losing their trust in love.
However Happy relationships are no myth.
They just require effort. The same effort which we put while wooing each other, respecting and paying more attention and giving more importance to each other when dating. Trusting each other and taking that extra effort to look pretty and feel awesome.
However once committed we think its gonna be a happily ever after smooth ride and the work is done.
Guess what - Relationships require a lot of work and effort once committed as the initial mystery, charm and spontaneity is now taken over by knowing each other too well, being at ease and taking one another for granted. The work has just began and now you are into the real deal where responsibilities, family, society, work and everything else will drain you out.
To keep the spark alive we need to keep dating each other, wooing each other and making one another feel special. Just as the initial phase never let the spontaneity die.
Don't let your relationship and yourself get monotonous and predictable.
Hubby and me guard our date nights with all our vigour and try and keep learning new things, discovering new places together, exploring and keeping it fun.
I love to make my hubby feel special and vice versa and this is just not meant for special occasion. We keep dating each other and have our quality time no matter what.
Sure life and work do take a toll at times but its all about reinventing yourself and living in the spur of the moment as we do not wait for moments to be created, we create them.
Its not hard at all if you really want it to work. Just put your heart and a little bit of effort and you will see magic rebuilt in your relationship.
Chose what's best for you, make your own rules, dance to your tunes together.

This is On one of our date nights.

cheers to happy dates and happy relationships.

we just love spending time together no matter what.
Its always fun when we together, never a dull moment with this one.
