Why I Like Only A Closed Few Around

I am not shy neither am I introvert in fact I mingle with people in no time. When I go out to a new place or party I gel around pretty easy and then i just leave it to that. A nice time spent in that moment. Its not that I don't like people, its just that I don't want unnecessary drama in my life. I believe in the great philosophy that even if you have few closed people you can count on your fingers you are lucky and blessed. After all according to another great one you are sum of characteristics of closed people in your life. So I chose wisely rather I connect with people not that easily.
I believe in every one comes in your life for a reason and for a time so enjoy that and learn from them. Let them go without holding grudges or stretching things till they get bad. Sometimes you grow up or you just become a different person and status quo of the relationship changes - then instead of holding on, learn to live with good memories. After all decluttering is required in every aspect of your life. Don't get me wrong I don't judge, I just live life and its a short one, I want to be happy and so why complicate it with people who don't add to the beauty of it. Keep it simple na .. hence a closed few of my circle keep me sane .

Simply Complex or no ?

It's been a long long time that we chatted up ... and I am so sorry for that. Honestly I am caught up in a huge project which is really close to my heart. Very soon I shall share with you where I was lost.
But today I just felt like catching up with you guys, rather I itched to write to you, craved to blog. In this long time I honestly had a writer's block where I didn't feel like writing and just wanted to focus on my project but today all of a sudden it just felt empty not to chat with you all .
So long story short here I am..
I realised that I am simply complex or complex simple and then I remembered a quote from Marlyn Monroe ....
I think I am a mixture of Simplicity and Complexes but I am beginning to understand myself more now - Marlyn Monroe
And I just left it at that.
On a lighter note the monsoon is tantalising and leaving us asking for more .... the weather is beautiful ... sometimes brutal but pretty nevertheless ...

Simple outfit to conquer the complexities.
I love the t-shirt denim days.

Gratitude

We are always taught from childhood that we should be thankful and have gratitude. However it was not until very recently that I realised the power of gratitude.
By being grateful for things we receive, for our life, for happiness we invite more of it to our life. Gratitude is an attitude the more you have the more you receive.
I have started beginning my day with gratitude and ending them on a note of gratitude and the joy it has brought, the contentment, the feeling of being so lucky of what I have. It has got a big change in my life. Whatever I like, whatever I am grateful for finds a way to me more and more. It's magical. All I am doing is just being thankful for this magic. Having gratitude from within, feeling it deep in my bones. It's amazing.

Give it a try. Don't expect to try this with immediate miracles. You need to develop this habit and you really need to feel thankful, blessed and lucky and not just say it.
I am sure you will immediately feel good and see the results in short time.
This will definitely make your life more beautiful.
Just start with saying a short gratitude prayer and ending your day with the same. Maintain a gratitude journal or just simply be thankful and feel it loud for the things in life. As they say - " A grateful heart is the magnet for miracles."

On that note - this is something I wore twice in a week once for an event dinner and once with friends. Sometimes I am too lazy and just repeat the outfit depending on that its different set of people I am going with. Besides I love the colour of this top. Very comfortable and yet chic, now that's my style ;).

The last few were in yellow light (gosh the difference light makes).

Phantomised

This weekend was movie date.

Phantom was the movie released and immediately after Bajrangi Bhaijaan, a Kabir Khan movie came with lot of expectations.
I wish Phantom was Phantomised itself.
Within the first half hour itself, we started regretting our decision.
The movie starts really slow and maintains the same pace throughout, it fails to strike a cord and keep the audience on the edge of their seat.
The performance is mediocre by everyone.
It could have been a good watch, had more research gone in it.
It comes across as a half hearted effort in haste. There is very little material, no meat on the bone.
The plot was shaky, the plans hatched in the movie are more left to chance.
The subject raised is really good though it has already been covered in similar movies like Baby.
Patriotic movie with a good intent, how we all wish it was true.

Disappointed in the movie, however I can't stop humming or watching the video of Afghan Jalebi.

This is what I wore for our movie date.

Evolve or get extinct

Everything in this world needs to change to evolve and if it doesn't it's left far behind.
I have learned relationships too follow the same course, every relationship in our life no matter which, no matter with whom keeps evolving at different phases in life. Mother is nurturer, the caregiver then she becomes the teacher then a friend and eventually she is the one who requires care. A spouse - a friend, confidante, lover, caretaker, and many more roles in each relationship. These roles keep changing at every phase, they keep evolving and if we don't let our relationships evolve eventually they fade out, lose their importance, they start becoming valueless to each other.
I being stubborn find this hard many times but with age and maturity things have started becoming more simple and easy to read. I think time has taught me to be more easy going and keep evolving with the flow.
There is a long way ahead to learn and life is a teaching isn't it.
