I am not in a Race 🤷🏻♀️
Yes, I am not in a rat race.
Someone messaged me the other day that I work / go according to my own pace and that’s very true .. this got me thinking 🤔
We all are in a rat race trying to be the best, better than the other. Trying to prove ourself to others.
I won’t lie, honestly we all have been brought up with this mindset. So many times my near/loved ones have (still do) egged me to go get it, to be in the rat race - I could do better (have been compared) - I need to be better than the others - xyz are doing better than me though I have more potential.
I ll be honest - does this affects me? makes me feel bad about myself? - YES
but I always remind myself this - (now don’t get me wrong) I strongly believe that we need to better ourself - be the best version of ourself - but my race is not against others it’s against my own-self.
To be better than what I was - it’s a never ending gradual process - it’s like a metamorphosis of a caterpillar into a butterfly - it’s different for all animals, humans, living beings.
And it’s even different from person to person.
Everyone has their own pace of transformation of evolving, of their calling in life, their race, their struggles, their satisfaction, what happiness means.
I believe in being the best version of oneself and being happy, satisfied in life through constant learning at my own pace because we were not made for mass factory settings. We are not same though similar ; we are unique version of ourself, we were made to be that way and we don’t need to be in a rat race to similarity.
So I am enjoying this process of evolving throughout life & striving to be the best version of myself at my own pace and that surely make me happy.
This is my thinking.
I like to celebrate life, celebrate myself , my victories big or small.
I grow through what I go through.
I am constantly evolving at my pace without any race. This is my #lifelesson
