Romancing the rain..

After evading for a long time the rain God has blessed Pune with pleasant weather and pitter patter of raindrops. Hurray! Alas the best time of the year is back. Greenery all around, pleasant weather. Cool breezy evenings, the fragrance of wet earth, having a gala time in the rain.
Long drives, steamy hot corn on the cob,freshness. Cuddling in the duvet with the favorite book and hot coffee with equally hot plate of pakoras.Playing in the puddles.Water all around.Wow.
Romancing the rain is my favorite time of the year.
Hey but romance and looking good goes hand in hand, doesn't it ?


so here's my list of Monsoon Must haves

1. Ditch the jeans ---- you sure don't want to get all soaked up in your denims which are really hard to dry on the way to your destination.If you cant part with your denims please wear the cropped ones or still better fold your original pair to notches to achieve the same effect.
2. capris, shorts are your friends in monsoons
3. breezy light skirts, make for the perfect flirty, romantic monsoon wear
4. ditch the leather goods
5. go for plastic
6. plastic bags, shoes, rubber footwear
7. go for light tops , but not light colors as you don't want to be caught soaking wet in them.(they look good in the movies only)
8. Sexy umbrellas, boots, raincoats, rain jackets.
9. plastic or rubber accessories
10. protective covers for cell

TADA!!!! You are ready for ROMANCING THE RAIN....

Football game date--- -- Euro

Whether you’re trying to win the heart of a new crush or are looking for something fun to do with your spouse and keep the spark alive, this will give you brownie points every single time.

Lets agree to the fact,, that we are with guys, and the brain of a man doesnt emmit romantic neurons ,, lol as much as that of a woman ..

There are times when your guy gets on his sporty side and wants to do nothing other than sports,,, ( which happens lot of times with almost all the guys )

I have learned to take it in my stride and make hay while the sun shines(well for me its easier as i myself am sports person ;p)

Its the Football season with EURO looming in large portions in our man's life, so it will be injustice to every man, every woman as well as football if we dont take it in account... ;p

Football games make awesome dates. Filled with excitement, adrenaline, conversation and yesss ROMANCE... .

They suit each pocket,,, awesome aint it, the guys love it, football games are great conversation makers as every minute is filled with action and you can keep talking to your guy/girl.
They love their girl for sharing their love(football),,, yess believe me they do ,,,

• You can take your girl to a big leagues or clubs match, where she will enjoy the game and see your favorite stars..( depending on how well you know each other,, as these games will last for a couple of hours)
• you can also take her to the neighbourhood football game or a small club match or even the park game.
• Get down and dirty:p and indulge in some sweaty romance with your spouse and friends in an actual outdoor game of football where you just dont watch but play...
• You can also drop in your favorite restaurant,sports bar or lounge to watch the screening of the football match and have dinner as well.
• Or even better surprise your man by making it a fun date at home with finger food and either just the two of you or invite your other couple friends for the game.Tada.... Recipe for a Happy evening... :)

popcorn, beer , hot dogs, burgers, rolls, colas, ....... and sooo on ...

What to wear ---

Shorts, tees, flats, jumpers, rompers, casual dress, depending on the venue and time,,, but dont dress over the top girly,, add a hint of sporty or casual to your attire ..

How did i have my football game date ..

well,,, my hubby is a big fan of football...
so,, i made his favorite kathi kebab rolls ,, and we had a midnight snack watching the game just both of us and cuddling together...

For the semi final ... the exciting ,,, Italy vs Germany,, i invited our couple friends ,, i had ordered pizza ,, and we had a great time ....

Who said Football season is not good for girls ,,, take a peek and have fun with all the ideas here ,,,,

and make it a memorable season..

A little late, but the idea just struck and i said what the hell, make hay while the sun shines, and hey you never know when we require what.........
and according to me ,,, ANYTIME IS THE RIGHT TIME... soooo


Cover ups, whether for the pool or the beach ,, whether just for fashion or comfort, for protection against the sun or to hide the little fat,for modesty or for wearing a bikini under a cover up for lunch so you could head for a dip later,whatever be the reason right cover ups surely take a look to a different high all together.
I being on the plumper side feel more confident in a cover up when not in water. And as it was the summer season, i put in all my ideas of cover ups to use by the pool as well as on the beach, so thought of sharing my ideas for cover ups with you.


so here we go ...


Lets cover up stylishly ..

• Sarong- lets start with our old favourite which can be worn in a number of ways, let your imagination take you wild.
• Hot shorts- shorts worn over bikini, tada,, you are ready for the game of beach volleyball, football, para sailing,or any other sport you want.. looks chic.. you can buy them the way you like .
• Maxis- great for more cover up. looks awesome and comfortable while lounging around the pool.
• Romper- cute and sweet look, head for lunch with friends and then for a swim.
• Tunic or Indian kurti- hey you ready for the stroll on the beach or reading a book on the sand in style
• boyfriend shirt- for that messy casual look
• Skirt- go Hawaiian style with a skirt ..
• mini dress/ sun dress- apt for shopping on the beach shops
• Go sheer tunic or dress- nothing more sexy , show some hide some ;p

Remember to keep the look casual and minimal, with flip flops, hat, sun glares as basics
look for fabrics which you can throw over damp swim suits and are light weight , you don't want to end up looking like a wet blob, trust me ..
