Summer Dream - Papa Cream

Right when the summer heat is unbearable and quite a scare ...
Here comes Papa Cream with its unusual yummy fare...
Yes another liquid nitrogen ice cream parlour has entered the Pune market and at the right time, when people are searching for respite from the heat, it's a blessing in disguise or just plain site.
This Bombay giant opened its door to pune on the busy Dhole Patil Road with a small quaint property.
The premise itself took my breathe away.. basking in sunlight with its warm pastels and cheery seats, this place is definitely a cutey patootie.

The place is charming with its outdoor seating and mezzanine one.

The pastel décor really had my heart.

Papa Cream takes pride in serving pure vegetarian ice creams which are hand crafted with natural ingredients.

We got to try most of their specialities at their launch which was a big hit and sure did take the city to sit up and notice - the new ice cream makers in town.

So here you go - keep reading for some awesome ice cream with a twist.

Read on at your own risk - cause you sure gonna have some major drooling and craving.

Belgian Chocolate

started with this baby and it was love at first bite. What an intense start.

Dark chocolate, so soft and smooth, I could have just gone on and on with this.

Highly Recommended.

Tiramisu

Creamy Tiramisu ice cream which had sponge cake in it.

little towards the sour side.

Salted Caramel Popcorn.

Cold popcorn with Home made salted caramel ice cream topped with caramel sauce.

Both my loves coming together. Crazy for caramel popcorn and ice cream. I was so excited to have it.

The popcorn was bang on but there was that little thing missing. I guess they should add some more caramel sauce.

Blueberry Milkshake...

Intense thick drama which sure leaves you wanting for more.

Right flavours. Thick blueberry shake topped with whipped cream and oreo biscuits.

With Blueberry tart on the shake it was like cherry on the cake.

Highly Recommended.

Belgian Chocolate shake

Another crowd Favourite.

Thick dark Belgian chocolate shake with a twist ... crunchy cornflakes .. yes you heard it right. It sure adds to the taste and extra whipped cream to wrap it all up nicely.

Recommended

Hummus Ice cream.

Yes there is an ice cream made of hummus served with lavash.

Its like eating chilled hummus.

we loved it and had two of it. It has a grainy texture and is not like a smooth ice cream, as I said more or less chilled hummus. I loved it.

Highly Recommended.

Ferrero Crunch

Kolkata Meetha Paan

Amidst all these fancy ice creams and presentation, this simpleton stood standing tall.

Infact this was my most favourite of them all.

The flavours were so fresh and soothing and the gulkand on top just lifted them to a whole new level.

Highly Recommended.

Fresh Espresso 

This sure is as the name suggests ... Rich coffee for the instant boost. 

Must try for the coffee lovers. 

Sitaphal 

This somehow failed to deliver. 

And nothing like their Papa waffle Sundae 

This was the Belgian chocolate waffle Sundae and it vanished within 20 seconds of being served. Need I say more. 

Belgian chocolate ice cream coupled with hot fudge, caramel choco chips and whipped cream ..... indulgence...

Bournvita 

Relive your childhood in an ice cream. Just for the chocolate malt drink lovers. 

Red velvet cupcake 

Philly cream cheese ice cream layered with red velvet crumble topped with cheese cream frosting swirl.. 

Not one of my favourites  ( as it is I don't like red velvet cake) 

Pani puri sorbet 

Puri baskets or tarts with potato mousse and pani sorbet. 

This was one he'll of a crowd puller. Chilled tangy and katta. I cannot have that katta but that's just my personal choice. 

It's Highly Recommended ... people were oohing over this one.  

Not my piece of cake though 

Very berry Sundae
I preferred the Belgian over this but it was sure good. Especially for those who love berries and that bit of tanginess.

Bubblegum Candy floss 

It looked too cute to be eaten ..

Pink bubblegum ice cream... it's like exactly having a bubble gum ( think boomer) 

Served with yummy fluffy all time favourite candy floss. 

And that brought us to the end of this chilled nitrogen journey. 

By the time we were done most of us were on a sugar rush 🙈

Papa Cream it certainly is a Summer Dream.

You should definitely visit this place and chose your personal favourite... it's like being in a cute ice cream shop in some English countryside.

Random fact - Papa Cream has 78% Nitrogen in their atmosphere ... so visit them to experience it first-hand.  Btw it's a really cute place for ice cream dates. 💟🍨🍧🍦💟

Hello March ...

Hi Guys, how are you all?
I am good and I know I have been kind of MIA in Feb. As you all know Feb is my favorite month and I was busy celebrating myself 😍😉
However that wasn't the only reason to keep me busy there was more.
As elections were there in this month and I coming from a political family was doing my bit. Now even if that was bot the case I still believe its we who bring the change. Hats off to the leaders for baring it all and wearing the weather and all the pressure and stress and still being there out for us guys .. let me tell you being a leader is no easy job .. lots to sacrifice ... that's if its the right kind of leader.
I did whatever I could and which was not too much, being the delicate darling that I am. I did less and fell ill more ... thanks to the extreme heat ... coming back to that in some time. However it was all worth it in the end.
Coming back to the heat ... March is here...

The poetry that nature does ... Orange ink of budding flowers on the blue hues of unending notes of sky.... the brawny brown holding them together at their respective places ..
How beautiful are you .....  I Love the flaming Buds against the clear blue skies.... don't you ?

Btw we were facing extreme temperature since Feb. I really don't know what summer holds for us this time ...
I am keeping my fingers crossed but going by the looks of it .. it looks like one harsh one coming for us ...
For that I kinda prepared myself a bit .. Hold your breath - some of you must have seen it in my birthday celebrations video

 which was fab by the way however for those who don't know - I chopped my hair before my Birthday and I went shortest ever since the time i started growing my hair long from my boy cut ( that's a long story for some other time).
Lots of people were shocked on my decision of going so short after having such a long mane but me being me ( rebel )
I go like my hair my way ... it will grow back eventually .. why stress so much ... its just hair ... and its one life ... do whatever you want... hai na 🤗
So here's my new look ...

Do you like it ? 

I feel it gives an edge. I like it, it has so many pros especially easy to manage and maintain ( I oil my hair more regularly now) however honestly i do miss my long mane... 

I don't regret my decision at all though, I am enjoying my short hair till they last which already have started growing. 

On another note ... March has already begun and I Love summer for the summery holiday vibes, long balmy nights, cool drinks, vacations, mangoes, nimbu paani, beaches, picnics and many of my favorite things.

For all summer fun 

Summer also means cool vibrant tones as well as pastels, big tropical and fun prints.

Comfort at its best. 

First thing i did was to change my nail paint and I just wanted to go a bit pastel a bit less bright.

I chose the last shade by Nyc .

May be i should apply another coat. 

Next time i will go for a bright summer shade but the summer definitely started on shimmery summer pastels. 

Talking about summer favorites. No sooner than summer arrived I pulled another gem out of the treasure trove. 

I was feeling a bit ... a lot low today .. so i whipped up a tall glass of Lassi sweet curd smoothie topped with some malai ( cream) and removed another jewel from my shelf .... I enjoyed the lassi and let the magic of Bond work wonders on my soul... and it sure did ... within minutes of getting lost in this treasure the umpteenth time... the words just soothed me and i never knew when i enveloped into dreams and napped like a baby ... The charm of Ruskin Bond ...

The power of the small little favorite things working wonders ... Do what you like ... what you love ... even if its the small little things .. for life is one big chapter made up of these small little simple things ...

World Dhaba Food Festival 2 Pune

Summer started with a bang with the World Dhaba Food festival held at Balkrishna lawns brought to us by Cityshor and other sponsors which was held over the weekend. Puneites Or should I say the ever hungry Pune foodies thronged the place for tasty treats , refreshing drinks in the balmy weather grooving to the beats of the live music and to DJ Nawed. The first day saw a huge screen showcasing the always exciting India Pakistan match. The event was jam packed with patrons from all ages. One could see pretty summer fashion being flaunted by the young crowd as well as the old. The place was abuzz with activity and the vibe sure was laid back , country and super infectious. World Dhaba Food Festival had some amazing food brought to us by the pop up stalls of renowned restaurants across the city as well as some home seasoned cooks,food trucks and bars making the whole scene picture perfect. The event was managed quite well. The prices were a mixed bag of goodies, ranging from different stalls catering to all. 

All in all, the event went very well. The music was good I would say not excellent as it was on and off. The place was a bit small and became very crowded towards the end owing to the huge response the event got. 

Pune is loving these events and waiting for many such to come . Kudos

A little bit of kindness this Summer

Summer is here, it's just the beginning and the temperature are soaring. Everyone just needs a respite from this blistering heat. One doesn't want to venture out of the comfort of the home owing to the scorching sun. However the birds and stray animals brave the heat without any option.

These poor things fall victim to dehydration. They are instances of birds collapsing due to dehydration. 

With one small deed we can make a difference. 

Please put water outside your home or society for stray animals in clay pots or containers of no value which the animals can easily reach and have a drink. 

One can have water baths for the birds on the terrace, window sill, balcony for the little creatures as a small respite from heat. 

Keep a dish or container with a depth not more than1-2 inches so that they can easily have a quick dip, drink water and refresh themselves. 

One can keep some bird feed, simple grains, for the birds to enjoy a complete meal. 

A little bit of plants around will make your outdoors a sanctuary for birds and you will be surprised by the myriad visitors you get. The space will also cheer you up and will be your own little oasis a respite from the heat as well as the concrete jungle. 

If it's not possible, just keep a dish of water and be a saviour for the little creatures.
