Bike ride to Mahabaleshwar

I love to travel is a known fact. I am a wanderer I feel. The best way to make me happy is to take me out for a trip, however small or big. That's exactly what hubby dear did, he told me to get ready early morning last Sunday, packed few things and announced that we are going for a small trip and that too on the bike.
How I was happy and excited, extremely curious though. I am one of those type of people who can't take in curiosity for a long time. Curiosity kills the cat symptoms and I started randomly guessing names for our destination which were close enough for a bike ride.
To my extreme surprise I realized that we weren't going to any of those destinations but embarked our journey which was headed towards Mahabaleshwar. Mahabaleshwar is our favorite neighboring hill station. We have to have at least a couple of trips to Mahabaleshwar within a year.
This was our first bike trip to Mahabaleshwar and I was really excited.
We had a fabulous time and this was an awesome surprise, which I totally loved.
Days like this and moments they get along just make life so beautiful and spontaneous.
Check out our trip in the snaps below with what we exactly did and how are trip turned out to be -

Returning back after a wonderful day.

Some tips and facts by Hubby Dear :

Pune to Mahabaleshwar is 120 kms.
One can go there for a day trip and return comfortably by evening.
Plenty of accommodations for an over night stay available.
for your bike trip
Make sure your bike is in perfect condition, before embarking on the journey.
Travel Light.
Do carry your sun gear, cap, scarf, a jacket for the windy evening.
Do carry a bottle of water, candy, a napkin.
Make regular stops and keep yourself hydrated as well as stretch your legs and back a bit.
Stop at places which are frequented and crowded.
Do try and leave early morning from Pune and leave from Mahabaleshwar before dark.
Cross the Pasarni ghat in sunlight.
Do not travel on the bike after sunset.

One can enjoy Mahabaleshwar for its climate, nature, beauty, different points, markets, food (a complete post on the same here)

An awesome trip and some more memories to treasure.

Attic Attack

I along with my entire Food adda team attacked Attic in a new quest for food.
The Attic is located in Viman Nagar, Giga space. Considerably new on the block, we decided to try out this eye catching place.
Whenever I passed by on this road, I was always fascinated with this restaurant looking at its ambience from outside.
Let me tell you, no sooner than I entered this place I was pleasantly surprised as the ambience exceeded my expectations. The place is quite bigger than what it appears from outside.
Its like a cabin or a shack in an oasis of greens. Complete laid back vibe.
The service is really very good, warm and polite and I was really impressed.
The music in the background was really nice and they have a good collection of tracks, which compliments the ambience perfectly.

A huge plethora of food awaited us ..
and the stage is set ..

Attic serves a vast variety of food comprising -North Indian, Continental, Persian, Italian, Café.

We were presented with

My drink - Cool mint

MUSHROOM ROSEMERRY CHICKEN VELOUTTE

Warm creamy soup , would be perfect for winter.

Recommended

 VEG TACOS

BBQ Chicken wings

Recommended
One of the best chicken wings I have ever had. Juicy, tender, spicy, tangy, soft and completely flavorful.
I couldn't help my self and devoured a tad too many.
Must try. Just come here and hog their Chicken wings, if you are a wings fan like me.
You will fall in love with this place only with this one dish.

Cheese chilli toast

I was not very happy with this one.
Chilly and salt was missing, found it too bland for my taste.
The bread could have been better toasted(a bit soggy)
I will give this a miss.

Chicken Farcha ( Parsi )

 Recommended
Crispy, crunchy yet juicy and soft from outside.
Very less uses of spices and very mild flavors. Perfect Parsi food.
They do serve some really good Parsi cuisine .
Must try

Mexican Bean salad

It was nice and fresh.Crunch vegetables and a well balance of it.
A little less olive oil would have made great wonder.

GRILLED CHICKEN SALAD

creamy, succulent, well done with fresh and crispy lettuce.
I could keep on having this.
Recommended

Chicken Dhansak

Don't compare their Dhansak with Dorabjees and you will enjoy eating it.
It was really good and yummy.
They can, may be change the way they serve, (though it really was well crafted) as the dhansak gets absorbed in the rice and its little dry to eat later on. Though they immediately filled us on the dhansak on request.
The rice can be caramelized more( then again, I like my rice sweet with dhansak)
The flavors were perfect, not too spicy or anything. They do a good job on this dish.
Must try.
Recommended

Mutton Rogan josh

Nice and tasty

Cheese Butter Masala

Hot chocolate shots

Bread Butter Pudding
I used my hot chocolate shot to drizzle the bread butter pudding result was really good.
The bread pudding itself was soft, still giving you the perfect texture on every bite.

A very heavy weekend dinner indeed. Time to party, lose some calories and shake some booty, that's exactly where the Food adda team headed too ;p

Orange & Purple

Hello everybody how are you doing?
It's that time of the year again, when I am craving for a vacation. Planning excitedly, checking out loads of places that fit my liking and in general planning everything to the T and day dreaming obviously.
I love the process of planning the vacation a lot, it builds in so much excitement. But weirdly enough I am a little scared to embark on each vacation of mine, I think that's because I am afraid "what if it doesn't meet my expectations?" As you all know I am a control freak . I am obsessed with having things the way I have planned, if there are  changes and that too unwanted and disliked ones, I keep sulking. God bless people around me then, especially hubby dear.
I am working on learning to let go, taking things easy and just sitting back and enjoying without having to worry. It's sure a work in progress.
I so many times hope and wish that i can be more like my hubby dear who is laid back, easy going and chilled. Taking things as they come but I like to be prepared for anything and everything. Guess that's the way I am although trying to loosen up.

On a lighter note here's an outfit post from winter waiting to be shared ...
I loved Orange as well as Purple colors in the winter, but I never thought of pairing them both together. That was until I found these --

My inspiration --

This is what I came up with -

I love layers, especially cardigans.

Earrings - Bangkok Market
Cardigan - Splash
Denims - Levis
Footwear- Foot in
