The Charm Of The Irish Continues -Irish House Kp

When your favourite den comes in an all new avatar, larger than life - is their a reason to complain ? No, in fact I am rejoicing at the same with my favourite things and my new discovered loves.
Yes, I am exactly doing that. Being an Irish House loyalist since it came to town I am in love with its drinks which are hot on the dot always, the food is grub shrub perfect to go with the potent potions, so perfect in fact that you lick the plate clean and the dil does mange more.
The best thing about this place are their insane happy hours and their BOGO. Does one need more in this today's world ? Me - Not... I will happily take it all.
So when the swankier, larger, hippier, more happening and re invented Irish House came with its second outlet at the Nitesh Hub Kp I was just on seventh heaven.
You think I am exaggerating. Think not just watch.

Did I tell you, I love their classics - nachos, chicken popcorn, rings and their entire works so now they tempted me with the new menu and I lapped it all up and oh boy everything and I mean everything was A1 amazing.
Everything is a must try, I am not kidding guys.

Some smoke wisdom from me to you 😉
Rs 545
Best whiskey cocktail I ever had hands down 😍
Whisky with cranberry infused tea topped with that rosemary smoke... that sweet smoky poison 😍 has my heart now... Btw their appetizers are uff yummm ma
They have amazing offers in their happy hour.. Give a call and Check them out

Crispy Sriracha Rigatoni
This was the only veg dish we carnivores had. I completely give in because I couldn't stop munching on these. Crispy crunchy crumb fried Rigatoni pasta which were filled with Sriracha cheese and served with creamy ranch.

Meat and molten cheese ... in heaven ... yes please.
They sure can sausage right. Those moist flavourful sausages along with the grilled chicken bites dipped in that creamy 3 cheese sauce in the sourdough bread bowl ... one community eat which sure will end up with a fight for that one more bite. 😉
The Sourdough Fondue Bowl Rs 545 .

Headless Chicken platter Rs 995
Is it called headless because you stop listening to your head and go after your heart to finish this platter in record speed and load on all those yummy calories. Well I did just that. I dont know why they named it headless but this platter is surely for a mighty heart with a big appetite.
Whats not to love. We chased the last bit of crunchy chicken popcorn. Got down and dirty with the chicken wings and greedily lapped up the chicken tenders.
Long live chicken love.

Dog in a Pot Rs 375
To be honest wasn't sure till we ordered, still wasn't sure even after this beauty landed in all its glory. One bite and it changed it all. First, let me tell you Irish House takes its sausages very seriously. No matter what sausage I have had here I just couldn't resist. So silken smooth, soft and tasty.
These were one of the best hot dogs I have had. That hulk green coloured pesto hot dog with smoked chicken sausage dipped in creamy spicy cheese sauce topped with those sweet fried crispy onions and a hint of fresh basil pesto. Just imagine that bite.

Ghost Pepper Smoked Chicken Salad Rs 395
Lovely fresh crispy lettuce served with smoked chicken, boiled eggs, pickled cucumber, black beans, jalapenos, fresh carrot slivers all in a dressing of creamy ghost pepper. I almost forgot that lovely grilled corn .. quite some .. .

Moroccan Lamb Rs 645
I love my chicken no doubt but a well done lamb dish has my heart.
This spicy grilled lamb rubbed with Moroccan spices was served with cracked wheat and honey glazed carrots. The combination went really well and healthy no. However this would be top notch if the lamb was a bit more tenderly cooked. Still the taste was really good. Quite impressed.

Now would you take a minute to admire this gorgeous flat lay. This is sure going to be phenomenal.

Devilish Chocolate Brownie Rs 275
Sinful warm gooey chocolate walnut brownie = yum served with chilled vanilla ice cream = super yum
Drizzled with hot chocolate sauce = Devilish
Love ❤

The Irish Riverdance Rs 575
Standing ovation for what lies ahead.
This my friends hands down wins it all in one go.
This beer mug was loaded with gooey brownie, brownie crumble, vanilla ice cream, dark chocolate bites, chocolate truffles, chocolate coated cookies topped with caramel sauce and caramelized nuts, hold your heart - pour over some lager beer.
And you have heaven on a spoon. Pure unadulterated sinful indulgence. This is my friends complete Foodgasm.

A perfect Dual Chocolate Torte Rs 275
A duet between dark and white chocolate resulting in a classic.

That was me at the new Irish house outlet. Had a lovely time with some amazing music and my favorites and loads of new favorites in this open cheerful airy Irish Pub.
I am visiting more often.
Oh on the last note do try their Terminator which is like a community drink to be enjoyed amongst 4 or more people.
A big container filled to brim with their potent potion. TRY IT...

The Travelling Flatbread Festival at 212 All Day Cafe Bar

212 All Day Cafe Bar is hosting - THE TRAVELLING FLATBREAD FESTIVAL for 2 weeks with a specially curated menu consisting of 9 fingerlicking recipes inspired globally yet local at heart.
I quite enjoyed this journey which literally takes your taste buds around the world and quite deliciously I must add.
I liked all of them honestly however I will definitely rank my numero uno just for you guys to try.

Firstly, What is a Flatbread?
flatbread is a bread made with flourwater and salt, and then thoroughly rolled into flattened dough. Many flatbreads are unleavened — although some are slightly leavened, such as pita bread.
a type of flat, thin bread made without yeast (= a substance that makes bread swell and become light)

Now lets see these yummy creations.
The flatbreads were lovely and crispy.
And balanced the toppings perfectly.

The Meat Special
Chicken Bolognese
Rs 595
Spicy minced chicken with Mozzarella and those assorted colourful bell peppers added lovely colour and flavour.
This was a table favorite and how can one not love those tangy and spicy bolognese flavours balanced with that gooey Mozzarella.
Highly Recommended.

The Norwegian - Smoked Salmon
And Cream Cheese
Rs 595
Minimilastic simple flavours.

The Swiss - Asparagus and Bell Peppers.
Rs 495
Emmental cheese and Plum tomatoes
Another rustic, simple and lovely creation.
Everything was used to the right proportion and not over the top to attain that light yet perfectly balanced taste.

The Turk - Lamb Kibbeh and Roasted Garlic
Rs 525
The meat balls were so juicy and perfectly spiced and flavoured, the sauce of those plum tomatoes giving a lovely light sweet tangy flavour with the cheesiness of Mozzarella. The crunchy onion rings thrown in for that lovely sweet spice factor. One bite and it left you asking for more. Lot more.
This definitely was the Numero Uno for me.
Highly Highly Recommended 😍

The Italiano - Sundried tomatoes and Jalapenos.
Rs 495
On the bed of that yummy plum tomato sauce again with my favorite sumdried tomatoes, capers, Jalapenos - this one boasted of lovely rich tangy, salty and a bit of spicy taste with that creamy rich Bocconcini cheese. Believe me it was rustic Italian and so simple yet so amazing.
Loved it ❤

The Parisian - Truffle Oil and Mushroom
Rs 495
This had one word - creamy.
What else do you expect from a fine amalgamation of Parmesan, Mushroom Ragout and Spinach.
This was veggie magic. The taste was polished just like a Parisian and the dish was too polished as soon as it was served.
This was definitely a Numero Uno in the veg selection.
Highly Highly Recommended 😍👍

The Mexicana - Nacho cheese and Crushed Tortillas.
Rs 495
This was a complete flavourful veg nacho bursting with tomato salsa and kidney beans on the flatbread.
Need I say more ...

Middle Eastern Classic - Baba Ganoush and Hummus
Rs 495
Creamy Bacconcini cheese coupled with perfect creamy hummus and that puree of sweet lemony aubergines with pickled veggies.
Treat for the middle eastern food lovers.

And that ended our journey on a good spirit with all that bread well we did wash it down with a monstrosity Monster Shake.

Yes thats yours truly in all my glory 🤓🤣🙈

So rush to 212 All Day Cafe Bar and enjoy this festival till it lasts.
Let me know how it was.
Until next time.
Bye guys 👋

Spaghetti Aglio E Olio : Recipe

Its a lazy weekend in bed, woke up late and have to make a meal for one to satiate my  growling tummy.
I am very lazy and still want yummy food ( story always ).
so whipping up some classic Aglio E Olio spaghetti.
Its a 5 ingredients dish very simple and easy.

All you need
Olive oil
Spaghetti boiled (according to package instructions)
Garlic sliced
Parsley finely chopped ( I used coriander )
Parmesan grated ( I used cheddar mozzarella mixture instead )
apart from this I have sprinkled some salt, fresh ground pepper, chilli flakes and used some black tinned olives and sun dried tomatoes that I had in my fridge.

Lets get started.
Heat oil in a pan on low heat add the breadth wise diced garlic and let the oil infuse it all on a very low flame till golden brown, add chilli flakes and let it be for a minute. switch off the heat.
Add all other ingredients and mix nicely and its readdddy..
Total Yumzaa.
Check the video above to see exactly how I made it.

Enjoy it with a Glass of wine with some lovely movie/music.

Let me know how it was.
until then this is me signing off.........

Bloggers Soiree at Terttulia --

Terttulia definitely knows how to host events in panache. Attended the Bloggers soirée last Monday and it indeed lived up to the expectation. No more Monday Blues.
No sooner than I enter this place I am always engulfed in the laid back vibe and comfortable setting where I love to sip on my cocktail for hours.
As I entered I was drowned in the familiar cozy warmth of the restaurant.
The bloggers soiree was an instant hit right from the word go with lovely foodies for company, some creative talk, mesmerizing setting, delectable food, warm host and chilled drinks - perfect !!!
Let me take you through the night -

The renovated seating section indoor.

The vast spread designed just for us😍

No one does sangrias like Terttulia. ❤️🍷
Not to forget the ever fabulous Karari Roti .

The rosemary potatoes were so subtle with a hint of honey and just rightly done.

Salmon in Labb with roasted cracker rice

Chicken tapenade with garlic, black pepper, mixed herbs and BBQ sauce - another favorite.

Sweet potato fries with rosemary, sea salt and BBQ rub . These were so addictive, they go so well with the beer fans or for that matter they just blend in with everything. So crispy and not at all oily. The best part is they are more healthy than the normal potato fries . So all the more reason to indulge with less guilt.

Mini Quiches - corn, cheddar what can go wrong - perfect bite sized indulgence. They do have spinach in them too, so I guess it's healthy too 😜

Portabello mushrooms with feta and black olives drizzled with olive oil and they were yummy couldn't help but pop these beauties right into the mouth.

Chicken Caesar salad

Mixed greens with honey mustard dressing for the healthy peeps.

Herbed Quinia with tossed veggies and spicy tomato salsa

Brown rice with tofu and veggies and mushroom ragout, loved the creamy ragout

And they sure know how to keep the glass full 😀

Pizza Terttulia - arugula, Parmesan, spinach and scarmoza

Bouef chilly

Gunpowder basa with curry hollaindaise and mashed potatoes

5 spice honey glazed chicken on the bed of finger veggies

Desserts

From top l to r - apple and cranberry crumble, Choco mud cake, salted caramel pannacotta and blueberry cheesecake

The chocolate mud cake and salted caramel pannacotta stole the show right away. Sinful indulgence in every bite, rich textures and perfect flavors just made the night into a super success.

The starts of the night for me were

Sangria, Karari Roti, sweet potato fries, portobello mushroom, mini quiches, pizza Terttulia, Gun powder basa , 5spices honey glazed chicken, rosemary potatoes - must try.
However the mud cake and pannacotta stole the show - the true show stoppers.
