Lessons from Noah's Ark... with a Pink tadka..

I was just going through Noah's Ark story and came across a very unique interpretation of the things we learn from it. I was really fascinated and decided to share it with you guys, of course with my interpretations too ;p

Lessons from Noah's Ark...

My interpretation and take on the lessons in brackets.
One: Don't miss the boat. (obviously all other means of transport too ;p, Respect time.. )
Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat. (equality matters, don't underestimate anybody.)
Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark. (do plan ahead, but don't live in the future)
Four: Stay fit - When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big. (someone might ask you to do anything big anytime)
Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done. (listen to the critics and just polish your act but don't let everything bother you.)
Six: Build your future on high ground. (aim for the moon, you will land in stars, aim for the stars and you will land on the ground)
Seven: For safety  sake, travel in pairs. (no wonder God made us in pairs.)
Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs. (Don't underestimate anybody, Speed differs for everyone)
Nine: When you're stressed, float a while. (Rejuvenate, Relax, Refresh- 3R's)
Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals. (Passion is the real mission, just love what you do, its all that matters.)
Eleven: No matter the storm, there's always a rainbow waiting. (if there is no storm, what's the value of a rainbow)
Twelve: You may want to leave the woodpeckers off of the ark. (stay away from unwanted elements in any form)

A little bit of sheer elegance..

As you all know by now, my personal style is more or less casual, comfortable and relaxed, I cannot and do not like to be all delicate and girly. Just a little hint of flirty fun or sheer elegance is what my style consists of.

One of those evenings, where I surprised hubby dear and took him for dinner and drinks. Oh the happiness on his face. Don't get me wrong, its not for what you think. He is more happy that he doesn't have to decide a venue than the surprise itself. Boys!!!!

I took him to Irish House, my favorite Pub in Phoenix Market city , I love the music, the atmosphere, my Margaritas, Loaded nachos- Bliss. It has an Outdoor seating, which is really nice and perfect for drinks and snacks.

All in all an evening well spent.

Randomness

Some Random Facts about me.

1. I am a night owl.
2. I cannot take attitude. I hate people with bad attitude.
3. I love mango flavor in every form.
4. I have a very good memory, I can remember long lost things which no one does. I am so proud of this fact and I keep boasting about this.( To annoy my Hubby dearest's )
5. I am very short tempered.
6. I am a wanderer.(vagabond by heart)
7. I blog for the sheer love of it.
8. I love to research.
9. I am a very positive person.
10. I am a dreamer. I keep dreaming about any and everything.
11. I love all things unhealthy.(guilty pleasures)

We reached a random number 11. well suits the tittle. lol

Romancing the rain..

After evading for a long time the rain God has blessed Pune with pleasant weather and pitter patter of raindrops. Hurray! Alas the best time of the year is back. Greenery all around, pleasant weather. Cool breezy evenings, the fragrance of wet earth, having a gala time in the rain.
Long drives, steamy hot corn on the cob,freshness. Cuddling in the duvet with the favorite book and hot coffee with equally hot plate of pakoras.Playing in the puddles.Water all around.Wow.
Romancing the rain is my favorite time of the year.
Hey but romance and looking good goes hand in hand, doesn't it ?


so here's my list of Monsoon Must haves

1. Ditch the jeans ---- you sure don't want to get all soaked up in your denims which are really hard to dry on the way to your destination.If you cant part with your denims please wear the cropped ones or still better fold your original pair to notches to achieve the same effect.
2. capris, shorts are your friends in monsoons
3. breezy light skirts, make for the perfect flirty, romantic monsoon wear
4. ditch the leather goods
5. go for plastic
6. plastic bags, shoes, rubber footwear
7. go for light tops , but not light colors as you don't want to be caught soaking wet in them.(they look good in the movies only)
8. Sexy umbrellas, boots, raincoats, rain jackets.
9. plastic or rubber accessories
10. protective covers for cell

TADA!!!! You are ready for ROMANCING THE RAIN....

Pastel with a Pop of Pink

On one sunny afternoon (Rains where are you :( ) i was going through my cupboard searching for the right outfit, let me tell you i am very finicky(in everything) and confused too. I keep changing my mind like million times and finally land back to the first thing i had decided or chosen. Guess i like to be really sure and do the best i can.So coming back to the right outfit, my style is simple fashion , i always like minimalistic looks, automatically i get drawn to the simplest and the most comfortable clothes ... Right now i am a big fan of pastels , they just look awesome when dressed down with nudes, like black, white and so on. I just did that for a casual coffee with friends. Got out a tee long forgotten. Just added a little pop of pink. I had these sneakers which i felt were too plain, so i just changed the laces and tadaa i had a brand new cool pair. :) The neck piece i am wearing is like 6 years old .. lol . I don't like to throw away anything . ;p I am too attached to my belongings, whether it be anything.

Black & white- classic tale

Black and white two eternal lovers ,, one incomplete without another, both enhance each other. The couple looks soo much in love,tandem and made for each other. Classic beauty- like Romeo & Juliet,
