Two Timing, Am I ?
Today let me take you with me on a small part of our Road trip.
For those who follow me it's no surprise and you guys already know it from all the posts and my random rants that I am a nature girl at heart ...
In nature I lose myself and find myself again .. I breathe.. I rejuvenate ..
And this feeling was strengthened and factualised by our recent road trip which we were advised strongly against by our Dr. Reason - I was very weak with low bp. Which was lower than low and I was advised strict bed rest. Still me being me went with the trip ( well in my defence everything was booked and this trip was planned from a long time and we were in such anticipation and I love road trips and Goa ) as I thought we 'll do it as it's just from Pune to Goa... ( well that was irresponsible but adventurous though )
The whole way hubby took care of me like no ones business. Fussing about my rest, my meds, my snacks, ( could I get any luckier, touchwood I have won myself a jackpot ) Coaxing me to sleep but no sooner than we took to the forests and mountains they just kept me going and like that .. like just that.. I was feeling so live. The magic of nature is marvellous beyond understanding ... it's wonderful, just leaves one astonished at it's beauty, sights, abundant life and a strong will to keep growing to keep living and giving.
The crisp air, the smell of moss laden trees, gurgling waterfalls, chirping birds, what's there not to like... not to fall in love.. not to be fully alive and aware.. not to replenish and rejuvenate every sense of the body.
I was healed ... if not completely ... in my mind ... in my will to be one with nature .. in spirit.. I was one with nature.
It helped me like it does always. It loved and accepted and nourished me like it does always...
I wanted to get out of the car, touch the leaves, feel the cool gurgling water, smell the wild daisies.
I wanted to get out of the car, touch the leaves, feel the cool gurgling water, smell the wild daisies.
Just like that my love affair continued .... ❤
With my hubby as well as nature... I was two timing and how ... but sometimes a girl just gotta do what she gotta do. 😉
Monkeying around, are we ?
Mountains are calling ...
Specks of green..
And I did get out of the car... didn't get to play in the waterfall, well whom was I kidding .. I got out and just that was enough to get a smile to my sick, tired af face.
P.S. how cute is he 😋
I want to be here forever in these mountains, where my soul belongs amidst nature.
The Magic of Mystical Mountains beckons me on ...
Forever a mountain Girl ...
They have my Heart...
Check out this small video ... a glimpse of magic ...
on that note ..
xoxo

Heavy rains , Empty wells and Monster fish
Last to last weekend was a working one however the good part about the whole thing was we were travelling through the countryside and the rain kissed paddy fields and mountains.
It was raining heavily and there was hardly any visibility however it was raining in patches.
So we decided to do a pit stop and this is where the fun starts I love halts whilst travelling and love to take in the surroundings and all the beauty.
Its the journey that matters, isn't it?
Btw hubby dear hates to halt and never agrees for the same (quite unenthusiastic ;p he is that way ) he just wants to reach the destination. quite opposite we are and quite attracted to each other hence. hahah
This was scary - there were just empty dry wells and dry rivers scattered all across- 90 %.
This is on our way to Shirdi. The locals said they are getting water by tankers and there was hardly any rain recorded. The scenario is same in the entire state (Maharashtra). its really worrisome.
Increasing urbanisation - population- declining trees and mountains - global warming - drought - natural calamities.
We need to get our act straight, do something and the time is now.
(this was 3 weeks back, I hope things have changed now with good rainfall that we have been receiving.)
maal gaadi - Goods train.
looks so scenic in the background.
I wish I had a better picture but this is the best I could do with rain from a fast moving car.
sucker fish
I hate don't like these creatures, they are so not appealing actually somewhat ugly and these being humongous monsters increased the quotient of dislike more however look at the pictures. The rain worked its magic on them too and aren't they looking calming and welcoming amidst the water drops, quite pretty actually.
blooms blossoming everywhere and making my heart sing ..
Please welcome my little brother (not so little but a handsome young man if I may say so) on the blog today.
My partner in everything since childhood, having each others back (nothing like the innocent childhood) always, continues even now.
Btw it was courtesy my brother that we halted we bullied my hubby together to stop ,, heheh,
3 musketeers the fourth one is missing in action - my little sister who is actually a twin of my brother. Yes they both are twins and nothing alike but chalk and cheese. Missing happens a lot.
one with the hubby, forcing him to take a picture. He hates being behind as well as in front of the camera (yes the story of my life :()
Chai on the highway in Rains - Magic for tired travellers.
our stay
Sai Shubham
Nothing beats comforting monsoon food - Pakoras to be specific and here we have a feast of them - potato, paneer, cheese, onion.. I am drooling.
This is how we work ,,, haha
Hope you enjoyed some snippets.
Until we meet gain.
Stay Happy and Cheerful!
Lots of Love

Beautiful Journeys
I have realized one thing that I love journeys more than the destination. I look forward and plan for days together for the same and I am excited to embark on my journey every single time with enthusiasm. Honestly in my heart I crave for the journey to just go on and on. Journey to me is a discovery always in progress.
Journey is the present which I don't want to let go for the future destination. I like to enjoy it to the fullest while it lasts. To explore the hidden treasures it promises.
It's not about quickly getting to the destination, it's about exploring the journey whilst you get there.
We miss beautiful things on our way in the quest of our destination. And these moments, beauty and experiences make the entire process complete and surreal - unforgettable memories ( just like Life )
According to me - Destination is the finale, the end point of journey and journey is laid with pathways leading to innumerable possibilities and destinations.
And isn't life itself a journey and not a destination...... With this thought I leave you to embark on many more journeys filled with numerous possibilities..
Very aptly said indeed -- it's about the journey and not the destination.
One such journey --- ❤️❤️
Focus on the journey, not the destination. Joy is found not in finishing an activity but in doing it -Greg Anderson

Journeys
Journeys fascinate me more than the destination, as it's the journey that enthralles, excites, evokes the senses.
Journey is a beautiful book which opens one amusing chapter at a time with anticipation. - Bhakti
I love to watch the changing landscape, life, people. If you see it closely, it's telling us a story. Unravelling mysteries
On one such journey from Pune to Goa.
I love this drive, full of colours and beautiful landscapes.
Beautiful blooms welcoming us to take this journey ... Starting it with colours.
Mysteries behind closed doors... So many stories to tell ,, you keep wondering about what lies behind the door, when u pass them on your way. Sometimes I really want to get down and explore them , I satisfy myself with a picture most of the time.

Of old palaces standing still through time, witnessing many a passerby ,, quiet though now,,
Never ending roads with green canopy.. It feels like travelling far and wild.
Me lost in it all, just taking few moments for all of it to sink in.
I enjoy my journeys with outfits that scream comfort and colour. Leggings are the best coupled with tunics or tees with few splashes of colour for long mystical journeys.
Hubby dear taking a break to admire.
Mountains filling the landscape and making it larger than life- the mighty ones

Adventure on our way back from Goa
Every trip is incomplete without an adventure. You need something to remember the trip by, don't you ? 😉
This time when we (hubby and me) were returning from Goa, we were caught into a complete adventure movie setting. Yeah, that's right.
We wanted to surprise our parents and hence left by 3pm, so that we could be there with them for dinner. Hardly did we know, we were setting in for an adventure.
It was 12 th May, we set in great spirits, enjoying the journey and the long drive, wanted to pass the ghats before nightfall. We were approaching just before Kolhapur around 7 pm, before Gaganbawda and were glad that we were on time, little did we know what was lying ahead.
Right out of some drama series, the wind gathered speed and started billowing like mad. It was crazy, the sheer strength with which it was roaring to go. On our way we got 3 traffic jams due to trees fallen in the way. We surpassed them and continued, though delayed a bit.
In the forest of Gaganbawda, just before Kolhapur, the wind didn't cease to blow, but now the sky started roaring as well, then started the dance of Thunder God. And no sooner than we blinked heavy rain like never before started pelting. It was raining not cats and dogs but elephants and horses. There was no visibility at all. The car was livid with the huge rain drops pelting on the metal body and creating frightening noise which was nothing as compared to the thunderstorm outside. We were hardly feeling safe in the confine of our car.
We couldn't wait, as this was a no mans land, we were in the middle of a jungle, with no soul in sight. The massive trees were taking the wrath of nature and could succumb to their life any second.
We couldn't wait as trees were falling. It was so scary, literally had our heart in our mouth and were frightened like crazy.
Although we continued at a snail's pace we met our worst nightmare. A tree fell right in front of us. It was a huge tree.
Now we were thanking our stars that it didn't fall on us and at the same time we were really shaken,we were in a grave situation going by the looks of it.
This deserted forest meant, were we stranded for the night, all alone, I was getting creeps.
Luckily for us,soon enough there were few vehicles who joined us on both sides. There was no use calling the helplines, as they wont come before dawn, in this remote area.
We travelers took this task up and were trying all sorts of means to remove the tree, a truck driver tried to pull it after tying it up with no avail. In the end after 2 hours in the heavy rains, it was decided to chop the fallen tree, so that it could be moved, the truck drivers had an axe and a big knife, people started kicking the branches, cutting the tree, pushing it.

In the end after 2 hours in the heavy rains, it was decided to chop the fallen tree, so that it could be moved, the truck drivers had an axe and a big knife, people started kicking the branches, cutting the tree, pushing it.
This took hours and by the time we handful of travellers were at it (all men , hubby included) who were first to the scene, there was a big line of vehicles behind us by now. People went and requested others to help as it would quicken the pace, but to no use, they were not bothered. They were nicely sitting in the car listening to music, as the work was being done by others.
Pathetic, people are not ready to share responsibility, this is the country we live in, where majority of people, have this outlook that we are not bothered, the work will be done by others. These are our fellow country men. It's apalling. Disgusting and disappointing to the core. They just want to watch the drama unfold from their comfort zone. (tamasha dekhte hain, karte kuch Nahi) I think their conscious is dead, and this is why they are shaming the nation, humanity .
Yet a small group of people, take things in hand and change the situation, proud of such people, no matter what the number, no matter what the consequence.
Eventually, the road was vacated from the fallen tree and the traffic started moving, thanks to the hard efforts put in by those involved.
It was so late by now, that we were hungry for food, nothing was available on the highway or in Kolhapur. We reached Pune by 3 am, were so hungry and starving, had Burji pav on station.
One hell of an adventure, another journey always to remember .
If you have any adventures to share with us, do write in to me.
xoxo
