Lessons learnt in 2016

This post was pending since sometime now...
The year just went by in a wink and we have already welcomed 2017 with arms wide open and aplomb but not without a big Thank You to 2016.
As

NOTHING EVER GOES AWAY UNTIL IT HAS TAUGHT US WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW - Prema Chodron

2016 gave me many a things - highs, lows, beautiful moments as well as heartfelt lows. Above all it taught me life lessons in a short go.....
Just felt like sharing them with you guys...
So here they are -

  • Slay and hustle like no ones business
Nothing and I mean nothing in life comes for free, whatever you want you need to work your ass to achieve it. There are no shortcuts but only work that takes you ahead. So hustle and slay till have it, whatever it takes.

  • Whatever happens is destined look back join the dots
Don't be sad if things don't work out as per you, everything happens for a reason and no matter how cheesy it sounds - Look back on your life and you will realise whatever happens - there is a reason. Join the dots and you will get the bigger picture.

  • When one Door closes it gives you the clarity that you are supposed to chose the other.
Be positive and weigh the pros in any situation. If something doesn't work out or goes your way, you get the clarity to do things in a better light.

  • When people start doing what you do consider you are on the right track.
This I did understand but took some time to sink in. Don't get annoyed if people actually ditto copy you but take pride in yourself that you are someone's role model and helping them out without them knowing it. You are bringing in a change for the good someone's life. If you are doing something right people will copy you. Have faith in yourself and keep working hard cause now you know you are good and you need to better yourself.

  • Live in the moment for the past and future are distant, present is your present to yourself enjoy it.
Live now, nothing is permanent. Grasp the moment cause you never know.

  • Health is important...
you can enjoy life to the fullest If you are healthy.. take care of yourself on every level. Physical, holistically, aesthetically..

  • Take pride in yourself

Always look back and think you are much ahead than where you were. Appreciate yourself.

  • Attitude of Gratitude (most important)
Be Humble, be grateful for your life and whatever you have.

I Am a boho at heart... free wanderer .. I keep giving adjectives to myself... but why tag

This was all from me..
So welcoming this 2017 But keeping 2016 in lessons learnt...

Until we meet again..

Pop of colours and a Pink Rikshaw in Goa

Recently we went on a mini break to just relax and catch up on ourselves.
Where else but -- Goa !! It beats everything hands down when it comes to the lazy life, sun, sea, good food and some me time. What else does one need from life. Sorted isn't it ;p
The Goa posts about this trip have been pending but what with Diwali and then Trump and Modi Sarkar move. So finally I decided to write and rejuvenate. The post I am beginning with is a colourful one - as you must have guessed from the tittle (I really do require some colour and energy right now).
So on that note lets dive into our Goan Sojourn.
The Goa Winter mornings and sun is beautiful and when in Goa I just let my little Boho heart wander.
I play with colours like there is no tomorrow and just let myself be (as if it was a question of life and death). I do take my holidays very seriously you see. After all Life is one big holiday isn't it ? :)

As I warned you colour alert and more ahead !!
I just love my colourful drinks with or without umbrella.
Right here is a pink strawberry lemonade which I am cradling with so much love and greed ;p

Here I go swooshing my skirt in the sunlight and flaunting my colours.
There is only one dress code when on holiday (especially Goa) carefree comfort -Now I think of it actually that's my style mantra otherwise too.

& just like that the sun gave way to rains and the sky poured its heart out.

& just like that I hitched myself a pink Rikshaw ride to match my mood.
Wish I could get it back with me to Pune (may be we can have hues of pretty pink Rikshaws, then travelling in this traffic might be that much better - thoughts oh thoughts).

So this was a preview for all the colours and Goa craziness coming your way in the upcoming posts.
So stay tuned.

Goa Diaries - Lookbook

Finally ending this summer's Goa Diaries series with a look book finale. Trumpets...
When in Goa my style is completely boho. I love the complete boho hippie feel of Goa.
Light fabrics in bright colours and comfort is the key to my Goa fashion.
The mood is wild and care free.
I love to layer the looks and wear loads of bangles, bracelets and rings.
The make up is bare minimum - loads of sunscreen, kohl and lip balms.
I do carry a couple of bright lip shades and eye liner for the nights.
I am sorted- simple looks.
Have a peek.

Swimwear

I am hope you like the bare looks and minimal style.
Let me know your thoughts on the same in comments.
Also do share your vacation / beach style with me, I would really love to hear.
Do follow the YouTube channel and subscribe.

Until we meet again.
Stay happy and cheerful !!
