Girly things, what are they ?

Coffee and conversations just blend in together and when you are having coffee with your friends there is no dearth of either one.
Over the weekend I had coffee with friends and we sat for ages talking about myriad topics under the sky. We were generally discussing vacationing and the topic of how girls have their girly traits and are not ideal partners for vacation and a guys trip is more fun at any given time came up. I think most of us have this notion and many other notions on girly things or what girls do.
My guy friends mentioned about how girls are not that spontaneous and take eons to get ready and till that time the time to do something has passed.
They also said that how girls are more needy and demanding. They are picky and do not adjust. They complain and are dramatic.
I begged to differ big time.
I think these qualities and attributes are not particular for any one gender, they are mixed human qualities. They ain't necessarily girly attributes.
This stuff is basically more stereotyped by society. We grew up in a world where girls and boys were and in many places are still being brought up with values which in future make for their attributes. It's the society that drills these attributes and then it's the society that again tags them on to any one gender.
Example- it's girly to cry, girls were/are told to sit/stand/behave in respecting ways, take more time to be presentable and well groomed at all times, being perfect, being delicate, always listening to others, respecting others more, asking for your needs. Where as boys are the decision makers, the tough ones, indestructive, breadwinners, never to cry and so on.
I am sure you got my drift by now.
I am sure we won't raise our children this way in today's time.
But all this was imposed and then tagged on as being any one kind of traits related to that gender. We were taught these things. However in today's world where there is so much of knowledge, so much of exposure, so much independence, do these things hold true? Do these tags and brackets justifying our personalities and gender hold true?
I see men crying, being sensitive, caring, understanding, so is this a man being girly?
I know guys who bitch and gossip more than girls, so is that not normal for them?
Couples earn equally, I know some who earn less than their wife, so is that a big deal?
Men today give importance to their appearance, take time to get ready and are well groomed at par with women and sometimes even better than them. Is that girly?

Women are earning, independent. Can go on solo trips and are actually loving the idea. They are chilled out. I know so many women, who are just spontaneous and wild. I, myself love to live in the moment. So all these traits ain't girly, so these women are boyish, are they? Women are the most adjusting creatures I have ever seen, put them anywhere and they will survive.

It is so wrong to characterise a person based on his gender. Everyone has different traits and qualities those which are unique to that person and that doesn't necessarily make it girly or not.
It depends on the nature of a person whether that person is picky, demanding, complaining, taking more time to get ready infact today's woman doesn't have the gift of time in her hand as she is always multitasking and gets ready in a jiffy, again this doesn't go for all and neither does taking eons to get ready goes for all. Basically we can't keep everyone in the same bracket. One doesn't fit for all and all don't fit in one.

Girls today are going on bike trails from one state to another and even beyond. They are mountaineers, they love offbeat trips. They are boho travellers. They love to explore and are pretty good at it.
One can't say that all guy trips are more fun and girls spoil them.
I don't deny that every person has different definition of fun.

But one secret which isn't a secret is

GIRLS JUST WANNA HAVE FUN!!

ending on a light note.

Masala Bread Fry Recipe

A quick and comforting snack or starter.
It satiates those mid day hunger pangs and gets a big smile to any face.

In this recipe you can use leftover bread or fresh bread according to your convenience.

I am using left over pav.

Ingredients
4 slices of bread / pav
1 medium onion
1 small capsicum
Sprig of spring onion to garnish (optional)
Salt to taste
1 tbspn Oil
1 tspn Ginger garlic paste
1 tspn chilly powder
Soy sauce
Chilly sauce
Green chilly sauce
Tomato ketchup
Vinegar
Pinch of sugar
Shredded cheese to garnish

Let's get started-

Toast the bread in a pan on low heat or microwave until crisp.

In another pan heat oil and add finely cut onion, capsicum and the ginger garlic paste. Sauté.

Then add the chilly powder, salt and sauces according to your taste, sauté nicely.

Once that is done add a cup of water.
Let it all blend together and get it to a boil
Cut the crisp bread in cubes and add to the pan to this boiling mixture.

Mix the bread well with the mixture.
Tasa...

Serve piping hot with shredded cheese and finely cut spring onion.

Yummy to the core and quick and easy.

Birthday Shenanigans

Birthdays are always special to me. I go all out and crazy for birthdays, including mine.
In my childhood my mother use to buy me all new clothes for the D day and we use to celebrate with a cake with family and friends, it was kind of a tradition.

The tradition still continues I need to doll my self with all new things and yes then I feel like a birthday girl and yes the loved ones need to be there with all the jing bang.
Birthdays make you feel so good, there is something so electric in the air.
I love to spend my birthday with my near and dear ones and just can't help grinning throughout the day.

A year older, a year wiser, welcoming a new decade, I decided to spend my Birthday this year giving smiles and making everyone happy. It's not the first time that I did something like this but indeed the first time I decided to share it with everyone.

We always say that you should do the good deed and never tell. No one should even know that a good deed was done, as it's not for showing off or being conceited, it's about doing your bit and feeling good. I beg to differ, isn't that being secretive and keeping the happiness just to our-self.
Let everyone know, let the happiness spread, let people join in , the good spread and multiply, let there be more smiles and hearts full of gratitude for giving and receiving. Gratitude for the being.
If we can be the inspiration or motivation for others or give ideas and share ideas, then why not ? Lets share, lets tell, lets make a difference, lets make the world a better place, lets be better humans.
So this is how my birthday went.

Made sandwiches for the homeless. Felt so nice as this made for lunch for so many homeless dotting the city streets.

A quick trip to the mart.

All ready for our next pit stop -Maher - home for orphan kids and women.
On enquiring they told me any kind of food products, grains are most welcome.

The kids playing.

Next stop on the list - Blue Cross. Contributed in the form of food.

They just want love and affection.

Birthday well spent. Birthday girl all happy and grinning.
One gets so much peace after seeing smiles on others faces. Giving has got certainly more happiness and power than receiving. A little bit of effort towards society. Giving back to the universe, to the society, to life in whatever way I can. It definitely makes a positive impact and it really makes you feel good and fulfilled. The happiness is unparalleled.

I strongly urge everyone give in whatever way you can back to the society to life. Help to make our world a better place. Small steps, small changes towards a bigger picture.

P.S I myself was inspired by Mimi Ikonn to share my experience and make a difference.

Favorite February

I always look forward to the new year like everyone but I am actually looking forward to February.
February is my favorite month as you all know by the tittle. Most of us love February for the more obvious being the month of love ❤️. However I have a more deep love affair with February as it's the month of my birth. Yes I have my birthday in February and every year I look forward to it with equal enthusiasm and gusto.

Birthdays are a big affair with me, don't get me wrong, I don't have to throw a big party or do something really huge on my birthday. Birthday for me is a very special day and I like to celebrate it to celebrate life, my being and I love doing so. I just adore all the pampering and feeling extra special and February thus is very special for me.

And all of you people who are February born - wishing you a very happy Birthday month !! hope you have as much fun and lots of wishes.

Being a February born, I pride myself with all its traits and I simply love them, won't change it for anything. So another reason to love February.

Have a look at the February born traits.

Frankness  ✅✔️ I am frank to the point of being blunt and hurt people, obviously putting my foot in my mouth. However I am glad I am honest.
Originality ✅✔️ I will have it my way in my style, I can't repeat what someone else does.
Creative, Innovative ✅✔️ Art in any form makes me happy.
Loyal ✅✔️ furiously loyal
Devoted to family and love ✅✔️ mean the world to me.
Live in the moment, enjoy life ✅✔️ yes , yes , yes !! 😊👍
Strong willed ✅✔️
Selfless, helping ✅✔️ I always feel we need to give back to the society, Earth , life in whatever way we can.

Me in a nutshell, it's almost so accurate, it's amazing. All the more reasons to love the month who blessed me with all these traits. Hehe

I happened to read this somewhere and it aptly describes me to the T.
People born in February are usually far from reality. They are interesting and intelligent, but are preoccupied with abstract thoughts. These people are also extremely sensitive and can be easily hurt. They are friendly by nature, but may feel isolated at times. They are exceptionally loyal and devoted to the people they love. Another interesting trait is that, these people can read other people easily, but choose to reserve their comments. They are little low on their self-esteem but if a situation demands, they can surprise everyone with their hidden talents. By nature they are attracted to places of amusement and. Entertainment and leisure are essential parts of their life and they love freedom. Generally they are shy, but when held back or forced to do something against their will, they can be aggressive.  They are introverts in the sense that they show their abilities only when required. They do not believe in unnecessary publicity of their talents or capabilities, one of the reasons they are quite modest and discreet.
If you are interested you can find more to read in detail over here http://www.thefamouspeople.com/famous-people-born-in-february.php

The famous people who are born in February are - Abraham Lincoln, Christiano Ronaldo, Bob Marley, Rihanna, Shakira, Jennifer Anniston, George Washington, Steve Jobs, Chatrapati Shivaji, Morarji Desai, Zakir Hussain and many many many more especially from the field of art.

Hope you enjoyed some Indepth on February borns and it got a teeny weeny smile on imagining yourself if you are a February born or if someone close to you is a February baby.

I just loved doing it for fun sakes and some insight into my nature as well as ones born in February.

The years haven't and never will reduce your importance Lovely February. I will always await you with anticipation and welcome you with joy.

I am a Country Girl

Hello,

Let's start from here, should we?

This song is my favorite. I heart it, with all my heart, gets a smile instantly to my face and I am all happy and gay. Lusting for some country life.

Beautiful winding roads with big trees laden with fruits which keep spreading on the horizon, till your eyes can take it all. Clear blue sky stretching above you and green carpets of grass to sleep on with cool breeze singing a lullaby.
Gurgling streams to drink in and clear azure lakes and rivers to take a dip.
The fragrance of freshness of meadows wafting.
These simple joys of life, of a country life.
Cozy cottages and houses, no gadgets to distract, just pure nature, stress free life, wholesome food, real values.
I am sorted, country girl by heart.
My heart sings with joy whenever I am amidst nature, away from the city life.
It allures me, keeps calling me.
One day I will certainly go to the simpler way of life, to the simple joys. I really believe in living it simple. One day I will certainly be a Country Girl.

Till then I satisfy myself with small trips to the countryside to keep me sane from the craziness of the fast paced city life.

On one such day, monkeying around.

These huge shady trees.

Hubby challenged me to swing on the branches.

I couldn't swing to save my life, the very best I managed was the run for the swing. 🙈😐😶☹️

Hubby dear showing me how it is done after having a hearty laugh.

Until next time, I am definitely learning to swing. 🐵
